Trying to record your own voice? Here might be some useful tips

Recording one's own voice is fun and you have made a very good decision to have fun! :) :)

Here I have tried to explain about recording vocals (for voice over Or Singing to a Karaoke) and the basic gears and software needed.

1. First and foremost, Buy a good microphone, preferably for home recording use Dynamic type microphone. (Condesner type is highly sensitive and demands good sound isolation).

Following are few suggestions.

2. Install Recording software, I suggest to try out, 'Audacity' a free and popular audio software. (Mac, Linux and Windows versions available)

3. If you require professional quality output, I suggest to buy a soundcard, With the soundcard, it is wiser to choose XLR type microphones, which are the best in the business. Here are few suggestions.

4. The recording job is already done at 3, This pointer is for Audio processing enthusiasts! :) . What is more interesting is treating the sound recorded, It is a skill to be picked over time, by purely trying out on various possibilities in sound and training your ears.
